I did indeed get that photo from on top of the Towers ruins, some amazing views up there, especially when all of the higher places are open (they were not on this day). And although I didn't actually ride Scorpion Express I do have to say it looks very nice for what it is, much better than Flying Fish just down the road from it hahaha
I find that before it came scorpions express it looked nicer the way it weaves in and out of the rock work.I may be wrong as i rode it ages ago. But I like that they themed the surrounding area to make it fit in better. Also, is the top spin working because it was always down when i went?

I've never been in that area of the park. How do you get there? Is it signposted and always open?
    • CommentTimeAug 4th 2016
Yeah, pretty much totally signposted from where you enter the Towers as to where you are going :-)

^^^ They look great! I really love that coaster and theming.
^^^ The Towers ruins shut a bit before Scarefest, so I believe it isn't always open. Your best chance is usually March-May time.
Came back from a trip to Liseberg yesterday. Here are a few of my best unedited shots (mostly of Helix, naturally) :)

And a few shots from our behind-the-scenes tour:

I went trainspotting with a friend today, and decided to try get some "action shots". Very pleased with how some of these pictures turned out (taken with a Samsung Galaxy S5).

The locomotives are Norwegian EL14 locomotives.

Got back from Lagoon a few weeks back, and I tried out a few angles.
^The third and fourth pictures are gorgeous. Great work.

I went to my first Air Show and lugged along my longest lens to see what I could capture. Fast shutter speed ended up freezing the propellers, which didn't look realistic. Slowing down to 400 shutter got a nice blur, but was difficult to stay still with a lot of telephoto (using Canon 100-400 LII). Still got some good shots! Enjoy.

These are really fantastic shots. I actually like the frozen propeller shots as well as the others.
A couple of pictures from my holiday in the Norfolk Broads(my camera is pretty cheap around £50 so that is why some may not be too good and at times the roof needed to be up meaning I could only take pictures through windows :p I guess you just have to work with what you have.
(I especially like this one as it creates a contrast between the built up industrial area and the natural serenity of the rivers)

Damn DB you got some nice shots. I especially like the ferris wheel snap.
Thank you, the weather really helped as it allowed for more vibrant colours like in the first from last. I also got to ride rollercoaster which made it into my top 5.
Recently got back from Lagoon! Unfortunately I wasn't happy with any of my Wicked photos, but I did like a few. I'll be at SFMM and KBF in a couple weeks for some more photos there!

    Beautiful Bentley Continental GT

^I dont know how I didn't see that before... That photo is stunning!

And now that this page takes forever to load, might as well add on to it haha. A photo I took at Lover's Point in Monterey today:
Some photos from my recent Phantasialand (very end of august) and PortAventura (2 days ago)

^These are rather nice shots. I especially like the panoramas.

    ^^ What a beautiful place

These Lagoon shots look very good. Some interesting angles and nice colors.

Since these were just shot with my compact camera I dared to try to photoshop them this time to "rescue" the image quality and while I was doing some color corrections already I also tried to get rid of some "obstacles" on some. I would be interested if anyone can spot these areas.

^Nice A380. And nice shots as a whole!

I'm sure you photoshopped Number Last one -1. It doesn't really look stable (Although I'm curious about what you've scaled; the tower or the "vehicle").

Hey, at least I found one.

Currently on vacation, been going to Universal Studios, SeaWorld and I'm on my way to Busch Gardens now :) Thought I would dump my favorite pictures so far from this vacation (don't mind the quality of some pictures, this was all done mobile)

Rather nice picture of Verbolten I took. Too bad this ride looks better than it actually rides lol. This was taken on my Galaxy S7.
^That's a really beautifully staged shot! I love the scene.

Here's some of my stuff. Some is for school, some was for fun when taken. Canon T6, standard lens kit, for those who care.

^ I love that last one.
I'll be at the Boysenberry Festival @ Knotts today to take pictures and videos for a photography class, and probably some extra Sol Spin progress. I'll post them up here too once I'm back
Sorry for the double post, but the pictures are finally here

I ended up not taking any Sol Spin pictures because not much progress at all was made since the last picture I posted, and it got dark by the time I stopped by that area of the park.

One of my favorite shots of my favorite steel coaster

^Awesome framing! The sky looks fantastic there. I love the total "above the clouds" thing going on here.
