    The lowest you can have is 300 characters, it's to make sure that people are actually rating a ride and not just saying something like "oh nice job".

    ^ A script which also stops comments that may reach the limit but contain repeated spam (such as repeated words over and over) would also be good.
    ^ agreed, measures are being taken. Just stick with it for now and know that we are aware and something is being done about it.

    Oh yeah, I wasn't being critical. I realise it's not as cut and dry as implementing a new idea overnight and everything being hunky dory :)

    I cant find the RSS2 OR ATOM buttons for RSS feeds. Am I am idiot and it is hiding in plain sight, or was it removed?

    After trialling the "100%" approach to image posting, we have now concluded that it will not be permitted. From now on, when you post an image, it is to remain under 1000 pixels at all times.

    Not allowed ever:
    <img src=[URL] max-width=100%>

    Allowed (use only if your image is larger than 1000 pixels):
    <img src=[URL] width=1000>

    Our reasons:
    The initial principle for this was based on the fact that the images will change size to fit the width of the browser. What wasn't realized was that it would stretch smaller images, and that quite a lot more people have their browsers set wider than 1000 pixels (2560, in fact). It is tolerable for wide screen pictures, but when someone posts a squarer picture, the image is blown stupidly large. Should you wish to share large images and poster shots, we recommend you make your posted image clickable, linking to the larger image, or simply post a link to it.

    <a href=[url to pic]><img src=[url to pic] width=1000 title=Click for full size!></a>

    This code will post the image into your thread and resize it to 1000 pixels, but also be clickable to take users to the larger picture should they wish to see it (nice to have the choice!). Also, if they hover their mouse over it, text will appear saying "Click for full size!".
    oh yeah, i forgot that pictures will be blown up, i shall not recommend the 100% thing from now on.

    If I take a image from Prt Scr and open it in paint and change it to a jpg, is reducing the image from 100% to 69% enough?
    i think you best not try, it still might be blown up to a certain degree.

    Why is that?
    @Togo, it doesn't matter how big your image is, you don't need to reduce the size in paint. When you paste your link from imgur:

    <a href=""><img src="" title="Hosted by"/></a>

    After where it says "title=Hosted by" add this:

    So it looks like:

    <a href=""><img src="" title="Hosted by" width=1000/></a>

    Would it be okay for me to upload my WIP NL2 Jamp Up Land park to the main exchange to see what people think of it so far? As long is I give credit to for the original toilet sign and Bolt789 for making me the toilet rules sign 3ds.

    Can you whisper a thread to multiple people? How does one do that on this site?
    Consider a skype chat or google hangout?
    • CommentTimeAug 24th 2014
    I've actually made a large group chat on Skype including 30+ people, it's always active and it has most of the nle users on it. If you wanna join, just whisper me your skype :)
    How do i make a click clickable?

    I just thought it would be nice if there was an 'auto add caret and reply' link under the quote link. Quite often with several people replying at once, I have to edit the number of carets a couple of times before I get it right. (Or maybe I can't count. :)

    I also got a warning today.
    So I'm not sure where to put this but there is a user that is stealing other peoples tracks and uploading them as his own.

    Both of his uploads are originally from other users, Kryptos001 and Coasterguy2000.

    Here is the link to his profile:
    The user has been banned, thanks for reporting. Deleting/disabling tracks is having a slight technical error for us admins/mods, but we'll take care of it soon.
    I also would like to note another technical error I believe I have been noticing on the site at times. Some tracks on the exchange appear to be duplicated twice or even thrice. It appears to be a huge glitch as I may have hit the download button on each duplicate; one would bring up an error saying the track cannot be downloaded.

    I don't know if this is the right forum to post in but I was thinking...would it be possible to integrate photo uploading directly from a computer or phone? It's pretty annoying having to upload a photo to a photo sharing site and then posting the html in the forums. It would be so much more convenient to be able to upload to the forums straight from the device. That would definitely improve the quality and level of ease of the NLE.
