I need to finish a track, so I picked up this S&S Power Launch Coaster.
In the last two late nights I finished the supports.
This track was originally to be used in our park, but we replaced it.
But I didn't wanted to throw it away, because I really loved the track.
And the launch has a feature that nobody has in NoLimits. (To my knowledge)
It's a real catch to the cable, the train stops at launch. Goes a bit backwards. Stops. And you launched!

The only thing I need, is a name for it.
So please help me with a name, and let us know what you think about this coaster.

    Stats:
    Lenght: 1492 m/ 4895 ft.
    Hight:63.6 m/ 208.6 ft.
    Speed: 136.8 km/h / 38 m/s / 85 mph
    Acceleration 0-136.8 km/h in 2.9 sec

That's great ! I don't see anything wrong with it. The only thing is that Angry Birds : the ride already ahs this launch feature? But still great ! :D
  1.

That, is, awesome! I'm looking forward to more updates.

And I think HZGarfield (TesuneSonic) already made a coaster with a pre-launch mechanism like that on his Angry Birds ride. But it's still a very rare feature that only few NL coasters have.

BTW is there a color change at the top of the initial hill after the launch?

Don't you think 2.9 seconds is a little Long for a S&S launch? I think, considering the speed of you ride is only 85 mph, you can heighten then acceleration of the launch until it is just 1.9-2 seconds long. Also, on RCDB, ringĀ° racer's launch speed has been lowered down to 99.4 mph in a 2 second launch, so your launch could take even less time than ringĀ° racer's.
  2.
I'd also change the track style to the LIM launched because it's more accurate to the S & S track, I also agree that the launch should be much quicker probably closer to 1.5 seconds than 2.5 and should hit maybe as many as 2g's.

Also it looks like the shaping is just a little to generic and not 'out there' enough to be S & S like, the first hill should be angled closer to 80 degrees and the drop off of it should be narrower and steeper than it is. Your supports are also missing that S & S style and look more like Premier supports than anything else. And finally the layout seems like it's just too long.

AW CRAP! You guys beat me to an S&S launch coaster... :P

Oh well, it looks really great, not too spaced out and a good mix of airtime and banking turns, I like it. Two hands up from this guy. ;)

yeah but he said it like went backwards and everything as well so

It's just a trick with the brakes, the train rides up through the brakes, passes them slightly and rolls back a little bit.

How about "Amplitude" for a name? Or maybe "Caelum"*? (latin for sky)

    Edit: Whoops! Caelum, sorry

Here is the link of the youtube video.

I'm trying to make a .nlpack, but the Environment does't want to pack.
Maybe someone will try for me?
  7.
Looks very nice, though I'm not familiar with the ride type, so I can't comment on technical accuracy.
  8.
    Do you have the patch?
If so, do you have the environment set as your track default (under Coaster->Track Info)?
  9.
    Really nice.

i liked it a lot. The only problem i had was with the supports. s&s supports usually have a lot of horizontal supports as well. the first hill after the launch looked like it could use one more support as well. here is what i mean by the horizontal supports. http://www.rcdb.com/9442.htm?p=35892. but it was very smooth and had a great layout.

I thought it was alright. The main complaint that I have is that the layout didn't really feel like S&S. They don't do many straight hills (I don't think Extreme Rusher even has one completely straight hill), while your ride had quite a few. Shaping was pretty good, close to the S&S style. The rollback on the launch was a nice touch. However, I hate to tell you this, but S&S launch coasters don't roll back to catch the catch car - they move the catch car up and push the train forward a bit. See here. Still a great ride, though.

^Isn't that a launch warning siren?

Also, how do you get the rollback for the launch, Nolimiters?
  11.

I mean the launch sound itself. BOOM!

    @ m_haugh16

I know how to support a S&S , I have a lot considered to Extreme Rusher.
I made all of the original supports in Google Sketchup.
But the scaling was wrong, luckily I have done a few supports.
I made it again, and thought that the scale would be good now.
But unfortunately not good again :-I yepp double fail :(
So I decided to made it in NoLimits, because I didn't want to make It again.

    Here Some screens:

Ever I will make a better S&S Launch Coaster!
    With that supports.
