    I think this is exactly what you are looking for: The 3creativeD effect set

    My computers been having faults lately and as a result, no longer runs nl2 (or anything that requires directx 9 or newer) So for the time being I've been using a shared family computer, which I've set to automatically lock after like 20 minutes (otherwise my dad will just start using my account without switching). However, whenever the computer locks with NL2 running in the editor, NL2 stops functioning correctly. I can change what I'm looking at in perspective view, but I can't select nodes or any of the drop down menus, and I can't save either. Is anyone else having problems like this? It's a custom built Windows 10 machine, I never had this problem when I was using my old computer (Windows 7)

    Ok, so one of my friends and I are planning to go to SFNE on Saturday, June 10th, but there appears to be a problem.
    When trying to order a flash pass gold unit for both of us on that day online, the website shows the day grayed out!

    All of the other days are available, but June 10th is strangely grayed out on the calendar view. What should I do?

    Would anybody happen to know if I can still obtain a flash pass at the park instead of ordering one online?
    Any such help would be appreciated! I know this question isn't NL2 based, but at least it's something real lol!

    I'd email them right now and then call in the morning.

    Yeah, you can definitely buy a flashpass at the park. There's a big building that sticks out in bright yellow and red paint (opposed to the old timely feel of the rest of the main plaza) that should be very easy to spot for flash passes when you go.

    Also, as SFNE is my home park, there's a very decent order of rides you could go through and get a lot of them done without waiting in nearly any line (works well on Sundays, not so sure Saturdays). If you arrive early, hit Wicked Cyclone or Superman first as those lines fill up fast. Between these two you can also hit Goliath, but I don't prefer it as the ride is ridiculously rough if you're in any seat behind the first 3 rows, still a fun ride though. Then go to the Batman end of the park and hit all three attractions on that end (Mind Eraser, Batman and Joker). Don't even try bother making a reservation for mind eraser VR, it's not worth it. I've ridden it four times now and not once has the VR worked (fails to start the simulation, stays at the webcam footage). But the ride itself is VERY much worth it for the new trains alone, it's a lot of fun now.

    As well as this, don't eat at Johnny Rockets. The food there makes your stomach hurt and causes severe heartburn, I highly recommend the BBQ Place across from Goliath and the Conewiches over near Fireball, those are my go-to's and both serve pretty decent food.

    I should also mention that if it's really hot out, high chances are the waterpark will take up a vast majority of the crowd, and the main park will remain fairly empty. Also on WC, ALWAYS go for the back seat, it's an absolutely mind-blowing experience, just prepare for charlie horses.

    Mrcrolly is right about the back of Wicked Cyclone. The air back there is incredible.

    Just rode it with about an inch of extra space while in the back row, it was even better!
    I have a problem, this texture is fine when you are really close to it:

    But when you move back just a tiny bit it looks super weird/disappear:

    How to fix?
    • CommentTimeJun 1st 2017 edited
    That looks like a Mipmapping problem (in a nutshell: visible parts of the texture will be no more present on smaller texture sizes (mipmaps) which are used automatically when the object is farer away). General quick answer: fix the mipmaps.
    How to do this: There is an option in the advanced texture settings of the NL2 mat editor to im prove mip mapping for alpha tested maps (which is the case with yours). If this helps: You are done. If not you could use tools that give you more detailed control about the mipmap creation, like choosing between different algorithms for mipmap creation. But there's still the chance that you might want to create the mipmaps for the smaller resolutions manually. NVIDIA provides some rather good texture tools that allow DDS texture creation with some powerful control about the mipmaps: Look for the DDS utilities (ensure that the dds format you choose is a format which is stated as compatible in NL2 in the NL2 manual). They provide also Photoshop plugins if you use that (here), I'm pretty sure you can also find tools for GIMP and other free tools, but I don't know any right now.
    I'm going to be making a a side friction coaster. What's the easiest way to make the rails?

    Make them a seperete track with tons of track connectors.

    Likes this. <a href=""><img src="" title="source:" width=1000/></a>

    Then make that spline what ever support you need and use the custom heartline to position it wherever you need.

    The more track connectors you put the better the custom support spline quality will be.

    ^^ I would suggest to use the light pattern creator instead to get an object for the side friction rail.

    Posted By: UncleArlyHow do I send a crash/bug report to the team? Having some issues.

    Now Steam just won't load at all the window that says 'preparing to launch no limits 2" pops up and then dissapears and keeps repeating that.
    Why are nl2s video files so big? 50sec video is 71gb big. Is that normal? Video is 4k.
    And before someone asks, no I'm not dead. Rock pack is still being made.

    • CommentTimeJun 15th 2017
    if you're using a raw file format, then no pixels are lost to compression because there is no compression, and in 4k...
    especially if the video has lots of details, then the pixels not only are not lost but they change a lot too.
    so long story short yea that's normal
    • CommentTimeJun 15th 2017 edited
    Posted By: Coaster MindIs that normal? Video is 4k.

    Yes that's totally normal for uncompressed 4k movies:

    4k UHD with 16 bit per color gives you about 1.5 GB / s -> about 75 GB for 50 s

    >>> frames_per_second = 29.97
    >>> number_of_px = 3840 * 2160
    >>> colors_per_px = 3
    >>> bytes_per_colors = 2
    >>> bytes_per_px = bytes_per_colors * colors_per_px
    >>> bytes_per_frame = bytes_per_px * number_of_px
    >>> bytes_per_second = bytes_per_frame * frames_per_second
    >>> bytes_per_second
    >>> bytes_per_second * 50

    Ran into this error while trying to export video in UHD.

    ERROR: Cannot start video export, because video size is larger than window size.

    I'm running the game fullscreen at a 1920x1080 monitor, powered by a GTX 650-TI. Can someone advise me on how to make it work?
    the video resolution must be the same as or smaller than your monitors, if you upscale to 4k using the nvidia control panel you can record in 4k.
    • CommentTimeJun 20th 2017 edited
    You can not record in a size that's superior to your screen. I don't remember where I've read that, but that's why it doesn't work.
    Too slow...

    Probably been asked a thousand times but seen as the search function isnt working, how can i remove the station ambience effect from my coasters? Ive deleted the script from the coaster and from the environment but it still manages to play?

    That's strange... I never even have the station ambience sound unless I place the script myself.

    Odd, Im the complete opposite! I know it can be added yourself but I haven't done that? Seems like its a default for me?
    Hello, just a question is there a way to reduce the noise of a roller coaster or reduce the distance? Because the problem is in my building, you can hear the roller coaster and that's just not the intention
    ^ Add a virtual tunnel to the indoor sections.

    It does launch in Block Brake mode, but why not in Trim Brake mode?
    In order for a launch to take place, the train has to come to a complete stop, which you can't do with a trim brake. If you want the train to come to a complete stop and then launch, you need to make it a block brake. If you don't want it to stop, you can just set the acceleration force for the transport device (not the launch) to the force at which you want it to launch.

    That said, I don't know of any example IRL where a launch is not on a block.

    How about Helix?
    What about it? It has regular brakes before launch.

    Oh, okay.
    • CommentTimeJun 26th 2017
    Helix's launches are definitely blocks, because when asked why its launches are so long, Mack replied that was to be able to launch a train from a standstill after a e-stop.

    Taron on the other hand goes back and forth to relaunch a stopped train.

    I meant in order for a launch to take place in NL, which is what the question was about.

    I am having troublw making use of the light pattern creator. I am trying to export a track into Sketchup. I looked at this video for reference and I followed the steps but no matter what I get a cannot save scene object (permission denied). '' (html embedding not working for some reason???)

    That is what I get every time I try. What am I doing wrong here? I have the professional licence also if that helps.
    • CommentTimeJun 26th 2017 edited
    Usually you need elevated privileges in newer Windows versions to make changes to C:\Program Files\ try another location (usually you should save this into your park folder in your Documents directory) or if you really need to save it there, run NL2 as administrator. You should get the same error when you try to save a text file in C:\Program Files\ using notepad for example.

    Thanks for the update! The dive coaster without scoops will be useful to me...
    I have a problem.
    I have a coaster with 6 custom Intamin trains, 5 of them are working perfectly. But only the last train doesn't do what I want.

    How can this be fixed?
    I tried things as adding the nose first, that worked. But the rest of the train doesn't seem to work.
    Its due to CCC2 only being designed to work with 5 trains
    ^ oh... thanks
    Yeah, unfortunately that's one limitation with the program at the moment. I've got a new version coming out soon(ish) which will increase that number to 32.

    Did Marco669966 make this very nice Ferris wheel? And is it scripted and rideable?

    <a href=""><img src="" title="source:" width=1000/></a>

    Plus there is a balloon flat ride.
    To the devs,

    Would it be possible to get support for HDR skyboxes in a future update? JPEG skyboxes are looking really flat since the renderer upgrade, and sources for HDR skyboxes are readily available.

    What is the easiest way to get the CSV file imported in sketchup with the right dimensions?
    Could we get customizable tyre/wheel textures? I'd like to actually have yellow wheels on a Swarm rec I'm doing.

    Could we also get wing riders without shells, so we can make our own? (i.e. Swarm, Flug der Daemonen, Wild Eagle, Raptor, Parrot Coaster, to some extent Gatekeeper (pilot car) and the unnamed wing coaster in Happy Valley (also pilot car). That's 7 out of 11 wing coasters right there. Another good thing to see regarding wing coasters is the option to have reversed rear rows (a la The Swarm)

    I'm a bit nitpicky, eh?
