I wonder if that boy got hurt. It seemed like the cable hit his leg and they were screaming for help.

That's the last time it snapped, and yes the boy got a few cuts and so did the guy, but it recently snapped as well and they are currently in the process of installing a new one. I'm pretty sure the cable was about to snap or did, but they found out during morning testing and not while anyone was on it.

After my ride on GASM reached the holding block at the end yesterday, this guy in the row in front of me turns his head and proceeds to vomit. Not sure if fail because he threw up before the ride was over, or win because of the sheer amount of projectile vomit leaving his mouth and how far it traveled.

That reminds me on one of our rides on the new coaster @ Skyline-Park, a Maurer Söhne spinning coaster. On one ride it just went nuts and rotated and rotated and rotated even faster - we felt a little bit more than dizzy afterwards. ;)

Watch Outlaw @ Adventureland run 2 consecutive laps - with all brakes completely open during the first run!

  7.
^That only happened because a ride operator wanted to get fired. It was cool, but a terrible idea, because it apparently gave the track in the station and prelift up to 5 years worth of track damage! That was over the whole day it ran like that..
  8.
    ^Someone can read descriptions! ;D

Anyway, I am feeling sooo bad for those trains and track right now. Even though it happened 14 years ago. I wonder how many lats they were pulling around that turn proceeding the lift!
  9.
^^^that's insane, I hope the riders knew he was going to do that.

here is an epic win when it comes to opening a coaster that I saw over on CoasterCrazy.

    Check the one for Oziris!

That was for the win, and now the fail:
A video of Python at Efteling. The guests are being evacuated on the lift, but suddenly the train starts to roll straight to the first drop... with the harness open! (Am I dramatic enough?) Clicky

Posted By: Gorres CoastersCPCisco's B&M Track Retexture

Look here you idiot, you've already driven three sites to about the core of the Earth before, don't even start with this one. I have a feeling you're just doing this because you know we only have one mod, but that doesn't give you the right to deusch up this forum, even after you said you wouldn't. Now I don't even know what the fresh hell the retexture has to do with a Nolimits forum, but it has to stop. For God's sake, this thread isn't even about Nolimits, it's about real coasters. Now if you're gonna go spamming like someone with no brain saying "Well real parks need the retexture and they also need the timber retexture" or some crap like that, then you might as well just leave to save yourself an ass load of insults flying your way.
  17.
Well then, they don't exist in real life. This is a real park board, so I'm not posting this RCT3 stuff cause there are virtually no topics that have it.

Because they never read Archy's Friction List.

Posted By: UncleArlyWhy do those models go so bloody fast? Kills all the realism.

Because they're small, if you were small enough to ride it you would see it in normal speed.

I just think they should give it some sort of friction to make it a little more realistic, or at the very least, slow their videos down to give the impression.
  21.
    You can't scale down gravity.

No, but if the fiction was increased then you could slow the momentum
  22.
Then never have enough speed for any elements

I think it's also probably the material. Plastic on plastic, especially painted like that, looks really really slick. Nothing like train wheels on a steel track.

It has nothing to do with friction. In fact the friction on small models has a far bigger impact than on larger coasters. The problem lies in the conversion from potential energy to kinetic energy which is non linear. That is why coasters with a height of 50 meters can have speeds of 100 kph but kingda ka with a speed of 200 kph has to be 140 meters tall to kill the speed.

x axis: height of coaster in meters
y axis: resulting speed in kph
    blue plot: without drag
    red plot: with drag

As you can see, the first meters of drop will give you an insane speed boost which we saw during the youtube video.
