Sharks, I mean, medias found two bulletin notes from KMG, back from 2007 and 2009, adressing structural fatigue cracks at some key point of the ride (main arm and harnesses).
None of them concern the part that broke during this accident, and thus it's irrelevant - but that's interesting to see such reports.

Posted By: bestdaniYeah, a certainly very qualified expert comment from someone who must for sure know what was the cause.

Oh get down from your high horse, it's well known that the majority of these travelling fair rides aren't kept to remotely the same safety standards as parks. There are a few exceptions depending on the country, seems to be that central european fairs do a much better job. My friend's father used to do these inspections as part of their job - that's my source. I don't have any reports or media to link to as, if that information was public, they probably wouldn't be operating right now.

Yeah Instant Mix is 100% correct. European carnivals seemingly do a MUCH better job, since from what I've seen through videos they tend to have much higher quality "parks" as a whole. American carnivals on the other hand, at least all four that I've been to have been nothing short of rusted messes just waiting to fall apart, sometimes it's hard to notice if you can't see past the flashing lights and colorful billboards, but carnivals over here are an absolute disaster. However I am not saying this is EVERY carnival in america, but easily a large majority of it.

^^ & ^ It's the generalization and seemingly hasty conclusion that I do not agree with.

^^^ It's rather easy to find many such reports also from other manufacturers regarding their attractions. They usually inform all owners when some anomaly have been found like cracks during inspections, actually I would count this as an indication that they really care about their product safety but unfortunately this article seems to want to draw other conclusions from these "finds" (since some people posted them already in comments on KMG's facebook page I have a guess how they discovered these).

^ Unfortunately when it becomes a frequent observation or occurence, that's how stereotypes or generalisations begin to arise and become accepted. It's a very understandable one and many people would reach the same conclusion quickly. I am sorry if this not a viewpoint you agree with, but it is one shared by a large group of people and it does stem from very objective observations. This is directed at operators, rather than the manufacturers themselves. I'll also add that countering a "hasty conclusion" with a snide and sarcastic remark does nothing to further your point and only comes across as some petty ad hominem attack.

Pallas Investment Group seems like a serious company. But they have no chill when they introduce Vekoma as one of the largest roller coaster manufacturers in the world... with these images attached:

Don't you mean 'no frills', King? I wonder what the G's are like on that red & white/beige tangled mess of a knot coaster? It would certainly be an unforgettable experience for the guests, that's for sure.

They totally missed a big marketing opportunity with that Spamusement park. Should've built the park on the outskirts of the city of Spa in Belgium. It's a no brainer. But i guess the idea was just too Japanese to be done anywhere else.

You know, the hot fun wishy washy soapy wet tub time trains. For the hot fun wishy washy soapy wet tub time coaster..
I was just trying to think like Togo, to come up with the sort of name that he would. It damn near killed me, and i'll never do it again, lol. But i'd call that name a success.

I thought I already heard a lot of bullsh*t, but this is just ridiculous. Sorry that the video is in german.
This guy is complaining about the bad "research" put into some german "documentaries". Some of these mistakes are absolutely hilarious.
