Everyone has one of these, so I'm just going to jump on the bandwagon.

    ~Welcome to Walki's Construction Thread~

Now that the big welcome is out of the way, let's get started!
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Terminate is a B&M Floorless that I recently started.
    Height: approx. 130 ft.
    Speed: 58 mph

You know, a good alternative to digging into the ground for every low part of the track is to build it above ground level!

I'm trolling, but why exactly are you doing that? The ride itself looks great.

Those two inversions were meant to be stamped into the ground; the rest will be above ground.

I love rides that play with the terrain, like Montu. Maybe tighten up the dips though, making it feel more dangerous than just a gaping hole.

And I love the color of the track for some reason. Maybe not so much the train.

Colors aren't final yet (except for the track color), and I am going to work on the terrain after the ride is done. I just wanted to give a general look of terrain work.

    Hi Walki,

Looks good so far. Imo the smaller loopings always look a bit strange, but comparing it to e.g. Dæmonen it´s good, maybe a little to "round"...

Have you already played around with kerkythea a bit? I hope we will see some nice Renderings ;)

@sbdb2099: I have messed around with it, haha! In fact I posted quick render of this ride in the Uber Idea Thread.

^^I don't think it's that big. It might be the angle of the first picture.

    In comparison to this...

    I'd say it looks great.

Uncle, by B&M Floorless has the same drop. Good job btw!

Too much newton influence, -5 points B&M

I see Nitro's drop supports. Better change up the supports now...

This is a B&M Floorless that I am attempting. It's my first time using actual hand-built inversions so just tell me what ya think!

    Stats:
    -Max Height: 125 ft
    -Drop Height: 122 ft
    -Max Speed: Approx 60 mph

JoJo roll and entrance to lift.

    Side view of it all.

What is the angle of the lift? B&M usually have it at around 30 to 40 degrees where as this looks like 20-25.

    Hi Walki,

i like the start. The heartline roll looks nice as well as the first drop. I´m not sure on the dive loop but it´s hard to tell since we don´t know the following elements and it basically changes the direction by 180° from the looks of it. If you haven´t done more on the layout(and it would work for what you have planned) i would like to see it more shaped like Hair Raiser Dive Loop.

Otherwise the top radius could be a little smaller?

    Looking forward to more
    Daniel :)

    So I'm making this thing.
It's pretty self explanatory. But it launches the riders at 120 mph and reaches a peak of ≈510ish feet. And near the middle-top area of the tower the seats rotate 90 degrees so that the riders are facing outward and not facing down. Colors are not final, and supports are almost done (some flange work).

    Overview

    Support structure for el towero

    Here's a thing

What I meant by "facing outward"

And how do I fix this?

In the last picture, just connect each beam by one beam node, right next to each other, rather than both into the same node.

Are you using a free node or a beam node there?

    Interesting concept for sure.

Yeah it is a beam node.

Looks like a cool concept but very low capacity. Maybe put a few more cars on each train?

Can you make 1,600 foot tall version of this ride?

@elvenage @unclearly: okay that solved my support issue!

@milbee: I changed it to three cars so now the capacity tripled.

@togo fan: I don't see why not but it won't be launched and it'll take a long time to reach the top lol

EDIT: psh yeah right I spelled your name right

Can you make the seats face 90 degrees when they reach the top and start free falling
from the top of the tower?

No more news on the Hydra-esque floorless?

^^do you mean free fall at 90 degrees the whole way down?

^motivation has always been an issue with me and NL smh. I might start working on it again.

Flueg is also German for flight.

I'm German, and "Flüg" is a word that doesn't exist in Germany. "Flug" would mean flight in german. Or "Flügel" would be a wing.
