i guess you could take a poster screen and crop it, can't think of anything else unless you want to make hidden coaster and use that one stationary followcam mode to get super far away^

    Hey Guys,
I wanted to ask if anyone would just like to start a joint project? Until now, I only made one joint project with someone else and it was so much fun, that I would like to start another project. I would be happy about interested parties. :D

How long has the devs been working on the simulator lighting update? Many months?

I read this on the discussions.

"We do make improvements and updates and have plans for the future. At the moment we're working on updates to our lighting engine."

Yes it's been a long time since the last update to the game which has many in unrest, but I'm sure once they get one out it'll be great

    Hi folks,

We have decided to suspend development of the Mac version of NoLimits 2. We apologize for the disappointment among you, our loyal Mac fans, who have waited so very patiently for the promised Mac version.

A combination of factors led us to suspend further production and this was not a decision made lightly. Mac has become more difficult to develop for and as a platform is moving away from high end performance necessary for the optimal NoLimits 2 experience.

Continuing to develop for Mac was distracting our efforts away from improving and adding to our core simulator. We will focus our dedicated yet limited resources on future projects for the PC version. In the future we may decide to resume production on a Mac version, and if so, we will announce it.

Once again we apologize for disappointing many with this decision.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    ^ I understand it completely! :D

^I'd say so. From the way he talks about it. it sounds like more than 40% or so have been spend into the mac version. Also, the changes in PC updates has decreased(Not necessarely a bad thing, may also be unrelated) after announcing the mac version

Although I can understand that this decision will probably disappoint some Mac users that have been waited so long I can imagine that the disappointment would be even larger when the final product for OSX could not be done with the same quality as the Windows version.
  2.
Easier to focus on the PC version.

    Limited ressources?
hmm. Not sure what the com thinks, but i dont mind to buying some sort of DLC (as long as it isnt too expansive > like the pro-version).
(an exporter for the tracks or a ConstructionKit would be enough reason for me to buy it)

yeah... constuction kit 2 for nolimits 2.... dreames would come true. :)

but it also could mean money (and probably even more like material, ... ).
    anyway thanks for clarification.

i used a coin to decide what you mean :D
  4.
Yeah honestly I would have zero issues paying for DLC. I think most of the community understands at least a little bit how time consuming and draining it is to develop software like this. I'd me more than happy to support! I mean, shoot, look at Terror Tracks! This community raised literally over a thousand dollars to support this kind of creativity

I would absolutely pay for train pack and a NL2 construction kit!! Especially if i could make custom track for my togo and jet coasters!!! I would love that! I would not have to have TheCodeMaster make togo track for me.

Adding on to this, is there a donate button for NL2 somewhere? And if there isn't, why isn't there one?

Quick question, how do you change the colors of the pre-existing flatrides like the drop tower and giant disk

    ^
Not sure, if its implemented, but:

    >Try to select the flatride
    >click on the edit sco button in the scenary tab
    >go to materials
    >there should be a list on the right side with 3 color-picker (color areas) when you click on one, you might be able to change the color.
(Cant start NL2 right now, so im not sure, if the steps are 100% correct. You might need to search a bit)

    >if this isnt enabled, then it dosnt work and you need to recolor the materials all by yourself in the folder, where the flatrides are located.

Hey everyone! I have a brake run on a slope that has magnetic brakes (like Leviathan and Fury's) but all I keep getting is a nervous brake that keeps slowing and releasing the train (take Valravn's brake run for instance but to a much lesser degree). I need it to be one constant braking that keeps it a constant speed. I tried making it further away from the speed limit, but then the train just gains too much speed. What do I do? I tried replacing those magnetic brakes to transport sections and it keep the speed constant, but when I pressed E-stop, it stopped the train. I know since it's not a brake section it's supposed to stop the train but I want it to be realistic.

I know that with the hysteresis it's a two point control system where the brakes can only be on or off. Is there any possible way I can always have turned on? I operated Fury and I know those magnetic brakes on the brake run never turned off. Even if the trains were coming in slow, they'd still be on.

^ As far as I know, there isn't a way to accurately simulate magnetic trim brakes at the moment. Like you mentioned, the best way I've settled with is to use a transport section to get the constant slow roll. Yes, it is a bit annoying that they still E stop, but until there is a change in the simulation, we just have to deal with it.

^yes use a transport section, just set the acceleration on it to like almost nothing and the deceleration to what the break run was, that's what I do for everything

^ I actually set my acceleration to zero. That way, if the train does end up getting stopped on the brake, it speeds up under gravity power.

Oh okay, thank you guys for your feedback!

Bit late, but if you set up an initial trim brake with a large deceleration that's long enough to slow the train but not to stop it, then have a second brake with a very low deceleration that is not quite enough to counteract the slope, but rather slow it to a constant speed when the brake is active. Then even when e stop is pressed, the train will still crawl down the slope into the next section.
  8.
This is something that I have always found rather annoying considering that there are a few papers out there that I have seen from a basic search regarding how an eddy system slows down a moving coaster train. It even includes the graphs and such that directly represent what happens when the brake segment isn't long enough, or when the train isn't fully on the brake run. It's actually a rather interesting read if you're into this type of thing.

Here's a PDF download link directly to the journal I mentioned

Hydra shot is showing God rays as well. When the sun is filtered through trees or grids you get nice subtle beams of light. It looks best in full motion.
