Here's my first NL2 project: A multi-launched coaster heavily inspired by Mack's 'Helix' @ Liseberg and Zierer's 'Verbolten' @ BGW:

    The pre-launch section:

    screenshot-2014-01-21-21-30-23

    50 MPH launch:

    First inversion after the launch:

    And down into a valley:

Up into an S-hill / 93 degree dive towards a lake:

That looks super good, however I think it would look even better with a track/support connection that fits Mack rather than the B&M ones.

Thanks! No worries - the supports are just temporary.
  2.
Looking really good so far. Only thing to complain about are the blurred terrain textures.

I'm super-excited how your awesome coasters will look like in NL2. This one looks fabulous ... except the aleady mentioned ground textures, I think you need a "few" more repeats here. Already looking forward to the final result! ;)

    Thanks guys!

    The layout is finished:
    5,193 ft long (w/o Storage)
    2 Launches: (1st is 50 MPH and 2nd is 60 MPH)
    Max Height: 131 ft
    Max Speed: 64 MPH
    6 Inversions

Terrain/Scenery are still a major WIP.

    Onto the pics:

Whoa, nice timing here, cb! I love the idea of having two launches right next to each other. Supports look also quite Wacky (sorry, I meant "Macky") so far.
  3.
Interesting this isn't a "cb0688 original coaster" here - it's been quite a while since I last saw you try and go for a company style.

It certainly looks like a fun layout. I have faith you'll do it justice with some quality supports an surrounding environment as always. Your last ride (Enigma) showed that you have lots of control over your trackwork and that you can produce some unique results. Hopefully that carries over to this ride! Good luck with it.

    Thanks baadrix and AJ!

This is my first handbuilt project in...3 years(?). The new editor in NL2 is great! I'm still getting used to handbuilding again, but am pretty happy with how the trackwork turned out.

    Progress on supports:

I think your supports are too large for a Mack coaster, try to make them fit with the connectors and it should be about right. Other than that, awesome as always! ;)

Thanks for the feedback! The 20" supports were too large for the connectors...so I changed those to 16". Any better?

The pictures are stunning! Its a great looking ride and it looks like it will be very fun to ride. I think maybe you have gone a bit over the top with the flanges in some places, I think it would look better if you removed a few of them.

That is absolutely stunning! I think if you did what Kyle Slone (I think that's how you spell it) did, and tweak the Environment settings, you could end up with something breath-takingly beautiful!

This ride is amazing in so many ways. It has a project helix feel to it but still retains its own style. I think you will really have a masterpiece if you do it right, and from what I see so far your doing it right ;)

Your style of making scenery for your coasters always shows good results. Keep it up!
  5.
Wow I just realized how massive this ride is! I love it :) keep up the good work.
  6.
I too like the looks of this. The nearly flat turn along the side of the hill by the water stands out as a point of good control. The aesthetics overall are solid though.

I knew it - your parks will look even better in NL2. And they are all much more lively as the flatrides move (and the lighting of NL2 is just great, of course).

Stunning work, cb! I'm quite a bit looking forward to seeing this park finished and riding the coaster (-s?).

That blue light looks very good!
  9.
All great except for the Aura sign lol. Looks pretty goofy. Maybe just make a logo and throw it on a 3D flat surface?
  10.
Yeah everything is perfect except the Aura sign and the colour scheme, I think you should try a darker colour like dark green or burgundy red.. If you want you can have this Aura sign I made for you :) it comes in different colours so you can ask if you want it changed.

Posted By: cb0688I'm having a small issue with the customized spotlights. This message pops up and I have no idea how to fix it:

To fix this, open your custom light in the NL2SCO editor. Under the "Lights" tab, there should be an entry for your light. It's name will be something other than "thelight" (which is why you get the error). Double click the entry and change its name to "thelight" then save the scene object. To update your park file, close out of the NL2SCO editor and then click on the "Show Overview" button in the NL2 editor Scenery Tab. Select the spotlight and click "Reload". Or you can close and reopen the park as this will reload all scenery objects. This should fix the problem. If not, I could take a further look.

I think for the sign, you could do something like JoshySquashy9's concept. Make it white and then shine a light on it that cycles through various shades of green yellow and blue. I think it would be a cool effect. I could help you with the script if you need it (it would be a relatively simple script).

Thanks for the feedback! I don't know what y'all are talking about though...the current sign looks ultra-realistic. ;-)
