^ I'm going to figure out the background trees later. I wanted to see how they looked here because I didn't want to fill the entire area with trees. Right now you can hardly see them from the ground or rides.

Sounds good. Unrelated to your situation, though, I don't like those 2D trees in general. The idea is good, but they have a very apparent white outline which, to me, stands out like a sore thumb.

^The tree lines, as with any scenery object, are not one-size-fits-all. They rely heavily on where and how you use them.

Looks great, Tobi. With your acquired technical craft and knowledge from studying and recreating existing rides, I'd be interested to see how you can put it to use in making your own rides

@A113 Yes, you're right. I should make own things but now I am at a very big Project, also a recreation, and I don't have enough time for more Projects.

I've revised my wip B&M giga layout today

Is it just a coincidence that your first element after the drop is almost identical to mine on Vulcan? If so, great minds think alike. ;)

I love the idea of a (relatively) compact giga.

Man, I haven't touched NL2 in so long. First time playing it in months and my 2nd serious attempt at a B&M invert.

Critiques on the shaping and layout would be 100% appreciated, The main idea I have here is something that starts off terrain based akin to Nemesis, but reaches flat ground by the first corkscrew (scenery goals woo!). That aside, I'm looking to rework the shaping of the corks, but I feel OK with everything else right now unless someone wants to open my eyes on something I missed haha.

    What do you guys think?

i really like the layout. the second corkscrew looks a bit flat at the top and maybe you could lift the exit of the first corkscrew a bit

I'd say in general pay much more attention to how B&M shapes their elements. You have the flow of the elements down well, and with some refinement it could certainly be a nice little ride. My main gripe is with the wingovers, as GeCoDe already pointed out. Otherwise, keep it up.

I really appreciate the pointers and compliments @GeCoDe and gigacoasterfan. I was aware the corkscrews were off but couldn't think of a good way to fix them up, per say, so those tips are really useful. Later today I'll hopefully have something nice to show off :)

Counterpoint to the above discussion: If you look at other (non-Wardley) inverts, you see that the corkscrew is actually pretty flat:

IMO if you make the wingovers more rounded by focusing on bending the heartline the whole 90 degrees, that'll make them look much better. Shaping-wise, I would pick a good reference corkscrew to base yours off of (there's a good one of Top Gun/Flight Deck that I'm currently using). Also, I think your Zero-G Roll "shuffles" a bit too much. It may be a trick of the angle (first pic) but it seems to move a lot laterally. It looks great from the side, but if you angle the entrance and exit more towards each other I believe it would look less wonky.

Other than that, it looks like a great ride (especially considering that you're dusting off cobwebs); I can't wait to see the final product!

Thanks for the critiques! I was actually looking at a reference from one of the batman clones, both from above and ground angles. I just happened to not find myself able to accurately recreate it, but I think I've since then improved it in comparison to what it was before:

    Cork 1:

    Cork 2:

As for the zero G roll, I believe what you're referring to is just eye trickery. Aside for the heartline, It's perfectly straight from the entrance down to where it dips into the pullout.

Not sure if that's what you were referring to, but hopefully this clears it up a bit! I really appreciate the reference images and tips, it's extremely useful.

Those are just noice boi, no but seriously those are your best trains yet. Without having seen them in game, I'd argue this is the first time you've given the NL2 devs a run for their money

DAMN, I'd argue those look better than some of the official styles we have now.
  8.
In the devs' defense, the body of Code's train doesn't look as smooth as I think it should. Seeing jagged edges where it looks like it's supposed to be a clean curve make it look clunky.

    But other than that, damn.
  9.
    ^The train is jagged IRL:

U can use an NL2Mat and replace the original surface with it.

I made the huge pink water slide much simpler now. It has a square slide bed.

^^I don't know if you're past the point of wanting to make changes to the layout, but after seeing the pic of the layout and then the onride, I was a bit disappointed. It either needs more speed to start off with so that it's not crawling through the last few elements or it needs to end sooner. I was also hoping that the twist through the loop would be snappier, as on iSpeed.

Despite those things, I really dig the progression of elements overall. It is a great mix of inversions and airtime.
