I just realised you can use nl2 to make coasters too:

Yes all that you see is 100% custom supports. I have used 8,450 simple style track connectors so far.

Wow that Dive looks and feels spot on. All your technical points seem correct(what I'm noticing: brakes, tire pushers, lift angle, the turn out of station with the dash in between it's middle point of the radius, drop angle, roll transitions, general length). My complaint/concern lies with the finale. The simple bank 180ish turn out of mcbr drop is a little underwhelming, as is entry to fbr. I understand this is definitely what a real DM could and would look like. What train width would you be using if you had the option to change?

Nice old school giga. Track and layout feel perfectly dated to that era giga. Was that straight tunnel just a tunnel or a baby launch?

    Thank you, it's just a tunnel ;)

Getting ready for 5HOP3. The Mack Family coaster and Intamin Mega were both done in the same day but the B&M is over the 5 hour time limit and still needs to be supported, oops.

Looks awesome! I don't know if it's just me, but the drop on the mega seems a bit drawn out or something. It could just be the angle. I also admire that you're practicing speed, something I don't do enough in general (I go element by element, correcting each one far too much before I run myself into the ground with boredom and quit) xD

POVs have been uploaded, click the pic below to check them out
^ I really like the layering of the track in that turnaround
^^ The Intamin is about the same height as Goliath so I went for the curved drop instead of the straight drops that the S:ROS trio has, although I probably could've tightened it up a bit at the top. I'm the same way about going element by element which is why I couldn't finish the B&M in time.

It kind of seems that all the coasters in your park are to long for the speed it starts with. In the end the trains are crawling through the last hills.

^ Nice! Try to have less saturated colors, tho. The red is too red, and the black too black. It'll give a more realistic look.

I made another weird coaster again. It is supposed to be a single-person "flying" coaster, with the person lying down in-between the two rails (think of the Togo Ultratwister), head first. That way, you can have ties either above or under, depending on where you want the view to be free. Note than with a custom track, this wouldn't have a spine and better shaped ties.

It reminded me of this storage track design I did a while ago, I don't remember if I ever showed a picture of it. But anyway I'm 20 years late.

That'd be if you need to check the underside of a train.

That storage design is truly ingenious! With the flying coaster, how would it be possible for it not to have a spine? I know there's probably a really simple answer but my brain's not up to that kind of thinking at the moment :P

I've made another iteration, this time with the principle to always have the ties at the bottom, allowing simpler support structures:

Featuring a pretzel loop launch and a fly-to-lie twist. So entering the fly-to-lie, people are one their stomach, while exiting it, people are facing the sky.

This was the design of track I had in mind:

Think about the spineless Zierer junior, for instance. Remember it's a one-person sleigh going down there, not a full train.

Does the car holding in the person rotate them around too? I don't know what the point of putting the track at the bottom would be because the ties would just block the view from the person.

I picture the vehicle to be like a skeleton sleigh, where you look in the direction of travel rather than straight down like on usual flying coasters:

But I'd redesign the handles to have them at the front, under the head, instead of having to look like a stranded sea lion.

We could imagine the cart to be able to rotate, although it seems unnecessary as the track is easily twistable already. Granted it would give a cool visual effect seeing the track going around you, tho.

    Aww thanks Beatles! =D
This late-night creation was inspired by CREOSENS, and their desire to create an extreme lie-down zipline coaster. They went with a design with a single rail - which is great manufacturing-wise and visually-speaking, but I fear you can't be as flexible with the offset car as my heartlined proposal.

Probably my most proud moment as a NL2 hobbyist. Here's my recreation of Shockwave from Six Flags Great America. It had one twin (Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Great Adventure) and one sister (Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain). All of the scripts I wrote for this were surprisingly painless and the API guide is perfect. I guess that's a benefit of being a Software Engineer, though... The classic Arrow chainlift noise is there, the station chatter, and a few extra bonuses.

MorganFan, that looks too twisted for PTC trains. In the third photo, you can even see the wheel going through the chassis.

^ yeah, you'd be better off using either Timberliner or Morgan Trailered trains.

    WIP:
Been working on my maya themed launch coaster, the station building is finished, Only have to still do some theming in the queue to finish the whole building, also started a little bit on the rock work
  17.
You should either A) increase the size of your textures or B) get better textures. The repeats are wayyy too obvious
  18.
^ thank you for the tip :D I also noticed it a little but I have been too busy with other stuff around the coaster which I thought to be more important then the textures but I will change that ASAP
