Ok, got it! I thought at first when I saw that you were making a Chinese themed park, that you would surely whisper to me to make you a knockoff Chinese coaster. But I now see that you are NOT going the way of a typical Chinese park.

I'm trying to make a S&S twin combo tower for my NL park. After 2 days designing, it looks already like the real one. It's not 100% perfect, I'm still learning Sketchup ;)
    What do you think? :)

    @ Kiwi,
I quite like that. You've taken a bog standard vanilla dive drop/wingover drop, and added some flavour to it.

    I say yay.

From that angle I say nay. Doesn't look good to me. A picture showing all the drop could change my mind though.

I got a few lower-quality pictures on the drop.

The drop is still a big work in progress. I really dislike how tall it is. It's over 200ft. Even then, it's hard to keep the g's down. In the back on the right side it maxes at 1.1 g's lat and on the left side 1.5 g's lat. Near the tunnel it pulls a heavy a 4.6 g's.

More on the drop. I've been trying to clean it up.

I took some inspiration from Kenny Loggins-Danger Zone (I mean who wouldn't want to be Maverick?). I thought it would be cool to emulate a stalling plane or something.

I just did this. A Takahashi Kikai Sangyo jet coaster recreation in NL2.

    <a href="http://imgur.com/IwljvA1"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/IwljvA1.jpg" title="source: imgur.com" width=1000/></a>

I do realize that the layout size is too small. I will make this coaster a element and resize it to be a bit bigger.

Track work is some what complete and the 3ds are far from done.

As a native Floridian, I can confirm it can be that bright out and still be stormy. But I'll work on darkening it! Still figuring out environments.

EDIT: I literally just figured out how to darken the environment for the overcast/rainy day. Thank you for pointing that out, it looks better already!

^^ How are we measuring loop height? From the ground to the top of the loop, highest track vertex, or some other method?
I may have a contender, lol.
  9.
I measured the loop from the ground to the top. I think thats the best way ;)
  10.
    Green Fire!

settings are max on screen shot but its still in a bad quality.

^ Don't worry JL, that looks fine, besides even on Max shadows become pixilated as you move away to aid with performance. Only thing I'd say is use the track default rail connector to make it look even more awesome. :-D

    ^^^ & ^^^^
I measure mine from the lowest point of the track before entering the loop to the top of the loop.

^ I like your lay-out, its very Vekoma like. You did a really good job! Keep up the good work!

I have been away for a while (exams and a lot of essays), I be back. And Started a new project, A B&M floorless! I currently have only station, curve and a lifthill. I want a nice terrain coaster and maybe some 3ds in it.

    Here is a teaser pic:

Ok. Giant loop.. 2 measurements here.

From the ground (loop support footer) to the top, 59.9m / 196ft.
From the lowest point of the track before entering the loop to the top, 62.1m / 203ft.

    giant loop

Excuse the odd shaping. It's from an old NL1 track i did way back when, and i'm pretty sure i made the loop by hand.

New Wing Rider idea. The layout is fixed but the shaping is not. Any thoughts on the drop style (the gs are fine).

Here is my new project. No name yet
