Huh, I would say Lech's is better because you're twisting so quickly. Although this does have the height advantage.

Flight Of The Giant Peach: An engineering marvel

Today i stand, as an honoured individual. As i have ridden the most anticipated new credit of 2017 in its opening week, coming up is a review of my incredible experience riding this remarkable coaster.

    https://gyazo.com/7c54b4b2da0ddc37b9a20c42cc42b26a

This breathtaking view is what greeted me on arrival to one of the greatest individual themed areas i have ever laid my eyes upon, every single shrub, plank and flower is placed with careful precision and planning to make the most visually pleasing environment that is possible. At this point, the likes of Disney, Universal and other exceptionally themed parks such as Phantasialand and Eftelling can pack up and leave, they have been completely outclassed by the team at Oakwood.

    https://gyazo.com/be9e0744e4c13babdacd8ed306fe7dfc

This highly detailed mysterious platform is the centrepiece of the new plaza, it is a genius piece of design that purposefully opens your mind to new possibilities, almost like modern art, it draws the crowds attention to the intricately themed ride area fence. By far the best of its type in the world. This wall then guides your eyes to the majesty, grace and thrill of the coaster itself.

    https://gyazo.com/1d7ae7d11bae8bce942005505ee5f41f

The choice of colours for the ride are fantastic, taking inspiration from the intentional weathered look of nemesis, and blending it with the modern freshly painted rail connectors. I believe this symbolises the stress and strain the mighty peach endures during its travels, yet its amazing ability to remain fresh inside during the process.

    https://gyazo.com/0bf303acca92c696c3ef6652d89b801d

The transitions and shaping of the coaster clearly take inspiration from the likes of stengel and ride centerline both of which would bow down to the revolutionary use of forces and pacing throughout every second of the ride experience. Transitions into high positives come sharply, however remain comfortable throughout, laterals are thrown in at just the right places to keep the "out of control" sensation and the final helix is the single greatest moment i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. It has truly made me proud to be a coaster enthusiast. This ride is the very reason i was put on this earth.

    Part 2

    https://gyazo.com/57bf3e646f2b54fe60b648804545ea52

After the enormous inauguration day crowds begin to subside, i make my way to the start of the queue line, This incredible information board is what greeted me, truly a marvel of text placement and layout design.

    https://gyazo.com/1f871615a1b72c0b14c36e7dd74cdd97

Immediately i am presented with the first details of this rides vastly detailed backstory, which is fully integrated into both the queue and the ride experience, i will try to avoid any spoilers so you can have the full emotion and magical sensations for yourself when you visit.

    https://gyazo.com/340e256e6768a56a438f3688223ff21d

I was then confronted by the main indoor queue entrance, i wanted to cry, i actually did shed a tear after a while. I was fully entranced by its majesty the textured curves and popping colours had transfixed my brain on positive energy. It was a raw, emotional experience.

    https://gyazo.com/d1200802a6894bda275a91df96cafd71

We enter the first of the queues themed rooms, The attention to detail and placement of each theme element was spotless, here, a model of a beautiful woman is shown. It purpose is to illustrate the human elements of the mighty peach as it soars above you and really makes you question your role in society and the comfort we have with our own species.

    https://gyazo.com/7a0394fdae03fc07b2386430cc80ecfd

The wallpaper... Where can i even begin, words simply cannot describe the visual mind orgasm that takes place upon witnessing the curves lines and features of each layer of detail, you can look beyond the flowers and peeled edges, and see... Hope. Hope and happiness for your impending journey on both the coaster, and life itself.

    https://gyazo.com/08ca031f8f055c2d4a97f89e7d836245

Another marvellous statue, this one i believe represents the masculine features of the peach, as the figure points its way to the gateway of thrill that lies through the next set of switchbacks.

    https://gyazo.com/72bf67e316c9dbf6742ab1d62adbd1b7

The grand staircase to the station awaits me, all of my senses are tingling, this is the moment i have been awaiting my entire life.

    Part 3

    https://gyazo.com/20eac6d9ff38894789ab58810f701950

The time has come... I glance over to my left, i see the unload station, the train is being prepared to take me on its magical flight through the skies of london.

    https://gyazo.com/8ac7d2539d275089113dc2a07ea2c11c

The train presents itself, An absolutely excellent custom job by the engineers and artists at pinfari the ultimate in simplicity and functionality. The revolutionary train design removes the need for any side wheels leading to a far smoother ride than any other manufacturers.

    https://gyazo.com/f2232fec11badc8e71e2d6b778bb21e9

The restraints are also well chosen for both safety and comfort, the concept of otsrs on a non inverting coaster was genius, not only does it improve safety, but it also makes the ride seem even more intimidating to people queueing, i was beginning to get apprehensive at this point, more so than my first ride on X2. The restraints also feature a one of a kind automatic lock and release system which requires no input from yourself or the operators this greatly improves the operations of the coaster, meaning only one train is needed, even with the separate load and unload stations.

It was finally time to take flight, sadly my camera used for the pov actually broke due to the sheer beauty and forcefulness of the first drop, i305, even pre re profile dosent come close. The level out into the first turn provides some smooth skyrush level ejector before a nice lateral kick sends you into the second drop once again stapling you into the seat as you pull up into a gorgeously shaped fan curve then descend behind the loading station in a graceful swoop. another drop approaches providing an incredible head chopper with the existing track, a level of layout planning rarely seen nowadays. The coaster even goes as far as breaking the clearance envelope. this not only adds an extra sense of danger to the ride but also provides potential for a darwin award here and there. Finally one of the greatest helixes of all time sends you flying into the brakerun with a smile on your face, wow!

    https://gyazo.com/981f16c0dd50878311c5be80bbd8e173

I emerge from the unload station as a new person, now knowing that i can never ride a coaster that is more exciting, intense and intricate ever again in my life, i have peaked, the world has peaked, and the sun has started going down, its true colours are yet to be revealed.

    To be continued.

This is the best review ever.

    Part 4.

Lets just set the mood a little here, we had been waiting for night rides all day, Megafobia was closing at 9 00 pm, so no luck there (still light in the UK), Speed however was looking promising, after jumping in line we discover they have closed the queue early, meaning this is the only chance, we let others pass in front, trying to be on the last train BUT ALAS, as our night ride approaches, Gerstlauer decides that fate shall not be with us. A block failure, followed by the activation of the WRONG transport wheel while in manual mode leads to a remarkably pathetic in station collision between trains 2 and 4. The daily mirror would have described the scene as traumatic, even heartbreaking. The 2 mph bump sent waves of horror through the remaining riders. this deadly accident closed the ill fated eurofighter for the night. Thats right, we were spited...

    UNTIL

As we walked towards the exit of the park in dismay, a beacon of UV light illuminated our vision, and the sound of the precision crafted anti rollbacks echoed through the silence. The peach... WAS ALIVE...

    https://gyazo.com/471cd3f1be7022bfcfaac5fb1b0b561d

Mere letters cannot describe to you mortals the true godly beams radiating from within the confines of that highly themed fencing. A lighting package so advanced, that white clothes shone a vivid blue, it penetrated your soul and exercised your mind, the whole area was rejuvenated and fresh, even more so that during the daylight hours. It was like ascending to a 4th tier of the aether.

    https://gyazo.com/6e03d35da20eb4cdf09fb67ca6a7c0c3

The night ride was about to commence...

    Part 5.

    THIS WAS IT...

the pinnacle, the greatest 3 minutes of my life were about to occur, this story will be passed down through future generations, the legend of the night peach will be the greatest tale in the community for decades to come, in the future people will look back at this moment just like we do today at the crystal beach cyclone, they will marvel at what crazy things were done back in the days, the pioneering moments of the amusement industry, they will look back with envy at times like this.

    https://gyazo.com/d22575e51f58033d705059c315a6ddda

The singular train once again beckoned my cheeks to the warm embrace of the firm plastic seating. it was then that i realised... i was batched onto the front row. Nothing else mattered anymore time itself stood still, i feel like i was the most alive, yet the closest to the end at the same time, i could not control my functions anymore. Infact i believe the peach itself drew me into the train, i was now under its control... possessed by its soul, intertwined with its steel chassis, then... it happened, the solid engineering of the compact cable lift system carried us to the stars

    BANG BANG CLACK CLACK CLACLACLACLACLALCALCALCALCALCALCALCALCALCALACACCK SCREECH CLCLCLCLCLCCLLCLCCTSHSTHSTHSTSHC C C CC C C C C C .....

We crested the lift, the peach was now riding on pure gravity, held back from complete ascension to the 4th dimension by the physical bonds of the lattice track system. I thought the daylight ride was unbeatable. At night, it was out of this world. Imagine the thrilling layout described earlier, however this time bursts of violet light shone through every crosstie, the strobing effects caused by this, combined with the intense speed and forces and the darkness in between, was so incredible, i only remember it in flashes. You must visit yourself at night to understand just how ridiculously the sensations of speed, lack of control and danger are multiplied.

    https://gyazo.com/0181438d9096dd43e0029d68767be278

After my experience was over, the peach became dormant once more, to sleep for the night, ready to fill the next visitors with fear thrill and wonder for many bright and happy years to come.
B&M, Vekoma, Intamin, Gerstlauer... its time to step up your game...

    THE END

Please rate Lenny's coaster, guys. I'll start:

The speed looks really good, the non-inverted loop is really satisfying to watch. Great air (I like that the first and tallest element after the drop is a straight camel-back), great elements, great pacing but... Mack would never do that.

Great Desert-Rally POV @ Happy Valley Chengdu.

Is it just me or lost GCi their signature up/down pacing on that ride? At least is more stretched out in most of the hills.
At first the ride did seems WOAAA. with the pov it is more a mwaa. IMO

No one's complaining about the speed Thomas, they're complaining about the layout itself, which I agree is a bit lackluster. I don't think it looks awful, just not the next Python or Knight Valley. Seems like they may have been limited by the size of the land/having that B&M go through it.

It looks most similar to Apocalypse's drop. I kind of think that the park may have asked for something more like a classic twister layout or something like all of their Gravity Group rides. Unfortunately it means that GCI was very limited, so the best they could do were a few weak airtime hills and high lateral turns. I doubt this is gonna be the beginning of a trend of crappy coasters from them, they have no reason for that to happen. I was thinking it could be a new designer, but Jeff Pike is no newbie and has made a large amount of their best rides. Too bad it's a letdown, I still have hope for future rides anyway!
