Well after taking a trip through time and watching the Jeff Foxworthy, "You might be a redneck if..." skit, I figured it'd be interesting to see what the NLE community could come up with. That said, here's a few to start us off.....

You might be a coaster nerd if....

-Your desktop background is a high res. picture of at least one coaster...

-You ride a B&M giga with your eyes closed to focus on the forces just so you can get on NLE and call out people who say they don't have much airtime...

-You get angry at parks for being dishonest about ride facts (rounding heights, aprox. speeds, calling a Larson Loop a Coaster, etc.)...

-You were one of the 58,250 people who signed the petition to get Kate Burley fired because of her interview with Nick Varney alone...

-The sound of an Arrow Loopers lift gets you hard...

-Your Internet history has at least 2 coaster POV's in the past 48 hours

-You make a thread on a coaster forum seeking reasons you're a coaster nerd.

-You are on this forum at all.
  2.
-You became a ride op just to get behind the scenes access to your favourite rides (the paycheck is just a bonus)...

-If you dream up a perfect park with perfect coasters that you want to build and own (Mine has a B&M giga with over 10,000 ft of track!)
  6.
^That's why NL2 was created, my friend.

When you yell at the news (and news websites) for reporting wrong coaster information!
  9.
-You take the time to contact the publisher of a text book to report an incorrect statistic on a coaster related question. The worst part is that you knew the statistic was incorrect in the first place.

-Use Nl2 as a way to act like a Ride Operator.
  11.
^I do that for hours at a time :)

-If you know what a park is getting 3 months before the announcement.
  12.
    ^Valravn reference? LOL

    - you can't plan a vacation i.e. with your girlfriend without squeezing at least one park in there.
  15.
    ^

    - You don't go on holiday (or 'vacation') anywhere unless it's almost entirely attraction-based (Orlando, Disneyland Paris, e.t.c) :)

That's my version since about 5 years ago.

Thats what I do whenever I can (like when I visited 22 parks in the usa last august), but as much as my girlfriend enjoys rollercoasters, thats just not an option when going together - except for one day trips or Disneyland. Same goes for trips with friends, so my post was about how your holidays turn out even if your not accompanied only by coaster nerds.

-Youre freaking out about Cedar Points 2016 announcement thats about to happen in 1 1/2 hours.
  17.
    - When you spend 7 weeks at Cedar Point to do a internship at Cedar fair.
  18.
-When you jump up out of your chair at school once a coaster is announced and say "I feel a disturbance in the coaster universe." LOL
  19.
-When the first person you ask someone when you meet them is "Do you like roller coasters"?

-When you are a ride op and coworkers come to you for answers about rides from guests
  20.
-When you are a ride op and explain to guests that coasters have safety devices & that they won't die when a train stops on the lift hill (this happens very often).

This happened probably 3 or 4 times a day during my time as a ride op this past summer

-You try to sneak a peek at Mavericks control panel because it is one of the rarest things you could find on the internet. (There is more pink painted midget german dungeon porn available than pictures of that well hidden masterpiece)

^^ and to piggyback on that, also telling them that the train on the track will not stop while upside down when the ride breaks down. The amount of people that ask if the train is stuck upside down when we break down is astonishing, and the worst is the nervous parent who is sure their kid is going to die because the coaster must have stopped somewhere unsafe (upside down, crashed into something, etc). I was thrououghly surprised by just how many people thought that coasters will break down in such a way that people are at risk. Usually I can explain to them what is happening though and get them to unspderstand that it's a routine thing and that no one is in danger. But every once in a while... *goes through flashback montage* *shudders*
  22.
^Haha, yes. There's been times when people would wait in line and ask me if the ride gets stuck on the loops and I would have to explain to them that there is only 3 points that the ride can get stuck at. Even after explaining the safety process to them, there'd still be that one person that would think that it could get stuck at such a dangerous spot. There'll always be that 0.01% that expects the worst from roller coasters, or rides in general even when you explain things to them multiple times that they're "generally" safe.. *sighs*
  23.
^I sometime say to them that that's true. Explaining is sometimes so hopeless.

-when you plan a trip to a park only because you want to try a particular roller coaster, no matter what's the entrance fee and if there are other rides (like wildfire at kolmarden. Entrance fee is like 45$ and the coaster is almost the only ride in the park. Fortunately there are liseberg and grona lund a few hours away and sweden is beautiful :D ).
  24.
-When you ride a roller coaster and look down at the restraints the entire ride to see how intense the ride is.

    - you like to ride the subway/underground/metro because of the acceleration after a stop.

    - think about layouts or elements (real ones or for NL2) at least once a day.
  27.
    - Every time you go to a theme park with a non-enthusiast (or part-enthusiast), you like to point out and discuss technical details that they probably don't care about :3
