Well here is my first project I am posting on this site. I know many of you from several Skype chats but here is my official introduction on the site. Some of you may know me from being the scenery guy for Scourge and helping out with several other projects kind of hidden away doing minor things for others. Onto the project!

    https://gyazo.com/15a9801325426f06cc2962e40a05b46d

I present to you Project Polynesian. Along with Horus (That Egyptian themed invert that was featured in the SSS) here is another major project I have been working on. Inspiration came from Dapalm's similar concept that he posted a while back however with my own personal flare to it. Along with the inspiration from Dapalm's coaster, it also came from The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Kumba, and Dragon Khan.

Anyways onto the ride... track work for this has been going on for right around 4 months and I finally am happy with the layout and shaping. Therefore trackwork is final. While scenery has just begun it is already starting to look fantastic. I have reached out to a good friend, Intim305, to allow him to use his own creativity for the station building. This ride will feature a soundtrack and of course fitting with my own taste must have a theme to it.

Now what have we all learned from Disney? That the story is the most important aspect of any ride... While the story is still being worked out but will involve Tiki gods that are angered by your presence in their temple of sorts. There will be many lighting, fire, and water effects to go along with the coaster.

    Onto some concept art:

Here is a picture of some of the theming that is inside the launch tunnel (Tiki Tunnel). There are fire/fog/ and strobe effects used each time a train launches as well as the ride soundtrack.

First look at the station building:

Lastly just as a side note, this project was started with Dapalm's permission. There are many differences and also I asked him about his project and he said it died and he discontinued his creation so he would love to see it be continued by me so therefore this is my own version of his original idea.

As you can see much more needs to be done so be sure to stay tuned for updates! I look forward to hearing your comments!

Thank you all for the wonderful comments!

Here is an update for you all!

While the main area of the park is the Polynesian themed area and the major E-ticket attraction of the park is Kilauea (The B&M Sitdown) there will be another area as well that will be themed around a Pirates village (yet to have a name and I am open to any suggestions) and feature Pirates Plunder- a pirate ship type ride that will be sure to make the whole family scream ARGHHH! There is planned to be a few other rides and attractions as well. Most of the 3d models are from a previous project of mine called The White Dragon some of you may know of it from CoasterCrazy.

    Onto the pictures:

    This is looking really good!

If I have one suggestion, though, this is regarding the main mountain with the B&M. Is this intended to be a real terrain hill, or a fake Disney-esque mountain? If it's the latter, I suggest -for realism sake- to remove the footers, as they would be anchored into the real ground instead of the mountain mesh of projected concrete.
  4.
I see your point King, It is meant to be a fake Disney-esque type mountain so I will remove the footers. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
  5.
First thing is that I have updated the supports for the B&M so that they go into the mountain rather than on the mountain. Moving on to the slight update...

Well Im just dropping a new photo for you all... Here is the first sneak peak of the third and final themed area in this park as well as the new coaster to go with it. Jammy has been a huge help with helping me pick a theme for the area so I cant thank him enough for allowing me to use Mystic Kingdom as a base for this area. I have many great ideas... Lets just hope I can execute them all... May I introduce,

    The Woodlands!

While a story and back theme are in the works, please enjoy these few pictures.

That looks really nice Blase! I really like the fact that the blitz is in such a wooded area, it's cool to see it perched over the trees. :)

Still working on the big update... Mainly just trying to get everything to look clean and crisp.

Besides that, Dustin has allowed me to use his Poseidon's Fury creation for this park and it fits perfectly! I have added some slight details to the queue and track as well but that will be shown in the bigger update.
Dapalm has also agreed to contribute to the project (more on this in the bigger update as to the direction of the park and as to why Dapalm's coaster is in this park). Of course his creation will be getting a new theme and name. Stay tuned on that!

You may have seen this on the "what are you doing in NL2" thread but here it is again... no the project isn't dead. Just been working and re planning the whole idea of the project. Instead of having a full park it is now going to be 1 coaster, Kilauea, and the main focus is how immersive can this project actually be. So planning stages are finally done and I have a pretty comfortable idea of where I am going to go with it.

    For now, enjoy these pictures!

This is crazy good. What I love most is that it doesn't seem like you're really glazing over any areas. From your pictures, it looks like you're adding the same amount of detail into every corner of the ride, which is tough to do.

I love that you don't need hundred of high mountains and a true jungle to make it feel like Polynesia. You got the right balance of everything I think.

Thank you all for the kind words! Its definitely been a huge process and a lot of work since there is not much to base the coaster and theming off of... But its coming along nicely.

With that being said Project Polynesian is definitely one of my most extensive projects ever!

I have also came up with the story line for the ride. Please note that this is made up, characters may or may not be based on actual gods/goddesses of Samoan legend.

    _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
    Story line:

Many years ago, Dr. Sam O. An, led an expedition to find lost treasure deep into the roots of Kilauea, an active volcano and as legend has it, is the home of the Fire god, Dabka. Legend has it that if disturbed Dabka will release his fiery might on all who has disturbed his eternal sleep. Dr. Sam O. An and his team of explorers journeyed deep into the base of the volcano unaware of this legend. Upon entering the base of Kilauea Dr. Sam and his team began excavating the volcano with a special vehicle called the, Terravator, and began digging through the volcano looking for the lost treasure. While digging, Dr. Sam O. An and his team disturbed Dabka. Dabka awoke from his sleep and blasted his fiery might throughout the volcano killing everyone inside. But of course... this is just a legend right?

Now, 20 years later, it is your turn to look for the lost treasure hidden inside Kilauea on this breathtaking adventure. You begin your journey at the base of the volcano touring an ancient museum filled with artifacts before making your way to the Terravator loading stations. Once seated, your Terravator begins its journey through the mountain only to find the statue of Dabka in your path... How will you escape?

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Due to a more so extensive storyline throughout the queue there will be signs pointing out the legend of Kilauea and also theming elements to help propel the story into action. Again, this is a very extensive project so I am not planning a release date just yet... however, I am trying to aim more at the fall months (hopefully September/October).

I am also trying to keep part of the layout hidden as I like more of the surprise factor for when you download it. That way it is more immersive to the user and he/she is able to explore more rather than already seeing the areas completed. With that said, that is why I show similar pictures of the same general area of the coaster.

Some of your shaping seems a bit iffy, but at this point, it really doesn't matter at all. The scenery is absolutely brilliant, great storyline, fantastic environment.

Hey guys its been some time but First of all I am so excited to hear your feedback! It is definitely an extensive project I am going to have to push the release date back further than I expected. Due to me going to college and just moving houses I haven't had much... or any time at that matter to work on anything Nl2 related and I wont be able to until I am settled in College August 14th. So if you don't hear from me in a while this is what my life is consisting of... moving... a lot. I am sorry to put this project on hold for longer than I expected and I hope you all understand. So with that, See you all when I am settled in College!

Hey guys long time no speak... Well first off I would like to say this project is NOT dead. School has been taking up most, if not all my time lately, limiting my time to work on this or really anything No Limits related for quite some time. However, I have been working on this during my free time and its finally coming together. I would say about 90% is done so far and the only thing left to do is add a bit more detailing in the que line, tweak some supports, add more lighting and effects, and then overall tweaks to the general area. I should be posting pictures soon in regards to the project.
