^It's going great, It's been delayed to Sunday (Hopefully Saturday) because of new addition request from users. Thanks for being patient! :)

There's no real reason for your generated sco to have a top and bottom, since the top and bottom of your sco should, in theory, never be visible thanks to the double spine. It just adds a bunch of seemingly unnecessary polys.

How did you do the RMC rails?
  7.
    ^Tutorial coming tomorrow :)
  8.
Did code not make a tutorial already?
  9.
^ He did, but everyone is asking me to make a tutorial. I've gotten emails, comments, and steam messages.

^^NoLimits' rails have more detail than Code's. His rails are just colored blocks.

You can get just as much detail with enough objects, and good textures too. I actually prefer to combine all the different layers into one sketchup file when I can to save the number of models!
  10.
Also my tutorial is really sub par.... .-.
(Maybe I'll remake it with photorealistic rails n such)

Great series of tutorials by the way!

    EDIT:

    Just kidding they look beautiful.

^^^^^ Please give us the divine secret of how the hell you make that :O

That technique currently needs blender to work, however, i believe that i can probably make a smiliar look with lwo and some nice textures.

I mean it's true though, before it was literally two textured blocks that followed the track (per rail). The new rails obviously look way better.

^^he (obviously) showed the picture of his new rails to disprove my statement. But if no one but Code knew about these, then why should I?

Delay is right, early RMC rail designs looked like that. No one expected Code to drop something like this. I really want to know how to do this Code! Tutorial incoming? :P

I mean, if you want to get pedantic, that's what Nolimits2Pro's rail are too since they were also made using the light pattern creator, just with a different top texture and added reflections.

It wasn't two beams, 1 for each side, though, it was like 3 per side. And that's what RMC rails are, btw: Coloured boxes. Code's just lacked nl2mats to add reflections and such, which would give it more detail. So stop complaining and move along.

It wasn't even complaining from the sounds of it, he was just clearly saying they were better than codes, which I happen to agree with. (not codes new rails, but the older version)

Jeez, the way people go out of their way to defend popular users is cringe-worthy.

Who cares? If you don't like the way someone does something, make your own. There doesn't need to be a tutorial for everything that isn't "stock" NL2. Don't be afraid to actually make something on your own like NoLimits2Pro and TheCodeMaster. I know that can be intimidating because they have "Pro" and "Master" in their names, but trust me, you don't need to be a pro or a master to make RMC rails on your own.

Try something new, it's okay to fail, everyone does. But too often either on here, or in the Facebook group, or in YouTube comments, I see people asking "can you please make a tutorial for ____?"

Just try it yourself! Being able to develop skills on your own is a valuable tool.

The whole argument here was over Code's rails not being good enough, no? There's a strong chance I misinterpreted this entire thing.

Nope, people were just saying the rails Code did in his early tutorial weren't as advanced as Nolimits2Pro's (it's a remark, not a critic. The tutorial is from two years ago!), and thus it would be benficial for NL2Pro to make a new tutorial nonetheless. ;)

So I'm not really even understanding why there was such commotion in the first place. First we Nolimits2Pro's Tutorial on making RMC track and supports. From what I could tell, he really didn't utilize anything special in regards to the RMC from these videos. Basically the regular wooden coaster track with lowest spaced ties. Not overly impressive. But then we have Delay for some reason calling out TheCodeMaster on an RMC Topper Track design he made a few years ago; which btw looked incredible and very realistic. He than posted a picture of a newer and equally impressive looking Iron Horse track. Judging from the picture, It seems fairly obvious he used more than a few "Blocks" to make it. So there shouldn't haven been an argument. Yet some people still felt the need to fight over it. I'm still not seeing any valid point as to why an argument even started.

Now I've gone to Nolimits2Pro's Youtube and seen that he posted a newish video called Jackal; which features a custom 3d made RMC Iron Horse track. It does look fairly impressive from the video and features clearly an added material on top. Now still comparing these to the TheCodeMaster's shown work, I'd say code still has him beat when it comes to custom made RMC Track. Now that said, I'm not biased and I would happily use either track from either person. Both were well done and do deserve the praise. Once again, still wasn't much here to fight about. Thats my 10 cent opinion, and that should be the final worthless arguement here.

No, people were already talking about the rails he made for Jackal (no re-upload involved). He just didn't make the custom rails for his latest tutorials because it's not worth it, but he sure knew how to make them before this "war" started.

Calling out? He is just pointing out that Code's tutorial was outdated - which is true, isn't it? He did not deny Code's abilities.

I hate to add another space eating comment here, but we sort of ruined this guy's thread... Why don't we simply stop, and if appropriate, hide your comments. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this.

┬╗It's finally here! Update 2.0! This pack includes 63 custom made scenery objects for you guys to use at your disposal. To get started, extract the NL2pkg file, open up any park your working on. Then simply go to the coasters tab in the editor, select import coaster, scroll to the park you just extracted, and finally select any scenery item you would like to add (They're all individually named) Enjoy! :D
