    Topic title edited by staff

It lags a good bit when I move prefabs, atomize them, and place free nodes.

I have the setting like this and all extra effects turned off.

I think i see the issue...

Might have to do with you supporting a 30,000 ft long coaster

I have all setting to max lowest and placing and moving free nodes and beam nodes still lags a ton.

What can i do? I also hid the catwalks and the tunnel tracks too.

You could, I dunno, not build a coaster that's dozens of miles long? Build a massive, liquid cooled mega-gaming rig?

    Otherwise you're probably SOL.

I think I am done with Im Sorry, since my editor keeps freezing and jamming up every time I try to move a prefab support to atomize it.

I will pass the torch on to someone else to support the rest of the track if they can do it and not have their editor jam and freeze up whenever they place a support to atomize.

I have updated the dropbox link.

haha this thing is insane. i like it.

for what it's worth, i'm able to add and atomize nodes no problem. it also runs fine in the sim with all settings maxed out, hitting about 60 - 100fps, although there are some dips to 10fps in places where the whole thing comes into view at once. i'm sure if i turned down the settings a bit, the framerate would be fine.

is there a reason the lift is so slow?

I still get a unresponsive editor when ever i try to move a vertice even with all setting on max low and since the most recent updates.

You understand how computers work right?
Even though it may seem like they can do anything you want most of the time, if you put enough pressure on them to do a lot, like say render a mile long jet coaster in edit mode, that finite amount of active memory that isn't even touched during normal use starts to fill up fast. No update is going to fix this lag since your computer simply cannot handle that much data going through it at once. Upgrading some of your computer parts is as close as you're gonna get to fixing it but I guarantee you the problem won't go away completely.

This is enough 62 MPH at the top of the hill airtime for a jet coaster?
